Bimbo eruption was a term coined by Betsy Wright, a Clinton aide, not Hillary. So, after Gary Hart crashed and burned in 1988, the Clinton’s were worried that Bill’s past bad behavior would haunt him in 1992. They wanted a response ready for anyone who came forward to make claims against Bill. They realized the opposition would be digging for dirt, so they had better be ready. Why is that surprising?

Anyone running for President should expect the opposition…both within and especially outside their party to look for dirt…and to attempt to portray that dirt in the worst way possible. It would not be surprising if promises were made to accusers for some form of payment for their testimony…and maybe even a little coaching on said testimony. Everyone noticed that Trump brought in 4 women to the last debate who had accused Bill of various improprieties before he became President. What inducements were they offered to come forth once again?

Melania is defending Trump. It’s not surprising…what else can she do? I don’t blame her for it. I also don’t blame Hillary for questioning the women accusing Bill. As Hillary doesn’t know, can’t know all the details of what happened between Bill and any of these women, she should be skeptical of both their and Bill’s account of what actually took place. Any blame for bad behavior belongs to Bill, and to Donald. Hillary’s behavior is in no way equivalent to Bill’s or Donald’s behavior here.
