My $300 App Marketing Video

I work alone on my apps. I don’t have a team. I have my wife who offers her opinions when I can pull her away from her school work or other interests.

I’m not a Marketer and I fear self promotion

I used to be a door to door salesman. It helped pay for school. But I wasn’t very good at it and it was beyond difficult. Knocking on someone’s door, knowing the negative response that is always on the other side, is something that I never got used to.

I was told I need an App Marketing/Tutorial Video

So, I found someone on the internets that was willing to make my video for $300.

I asked him what he needed from me. He gave me this list:

A full script
Voice over roles (Male or Female)
Voice over accent preference (I chose British for some reason)
Color Preference (I Chose green for money)
Length (I chose :30 it ended up being 1:33)

Not much budget for Change

You see, when you have a $300 budget for an app video, there is not much that can be done about changing from the original first take.

I wanted desperately to make changes, but I was told “Sure, if you want to add to your budget.”

What do I hope to Accomplish?

Basically, two things. #1 give people a small glimpse into simple functions that Accountable provides. #2 Somehow improve my organic search placement. Maybe when someone types “Best Free Budget App” into Google, someday this Video will show up.
