Do you know about Cocoon Pitch Night?

Cocoon is located at Causeway Bay. It has strived to create a platform for entrepreneurs. Their latest addition was the Pitch Night held in April 2016. This night helped not only the pitching teams get a chance to demonstrate their capabilities in front of potential investors but also acts as an opportunity for like-minded people to mingle together and let the flow of ideas begin. This Pitch night was graced with six startups pitching their ideas to the audience and the judges, each competing with each other for a position in the Pitch Night Finals. At the end of the pitching, a voting session was held wherein the members of the audience got a chance to “invest” in the startup they felt had the best pitch. This startup was awarded the “My Favorite Startup” award. Along with that, the judges also chose the two startups that they felt had the most potential and these winning teams would advance to the final round. This Pitch Night event is now marked as a regular feature every year.

CoCoon contributes in series of other events:

• STEP (Student Training in Entrepreneurship Program) : It is an opportunity for students to work inside startups and learn about entrepreneurship and to equip them with the knowledge and skills to develop their own ideas and products.
• CoCoon Market and Meetup : This meetup aims to enhance the communication and collaboration between multinational enterprises, service providers and startups. In Market Meetups the participants enjoy gaining insights and meeting new business partners, clients, service providers through the casual networking session with the speakers and other participants.
• Innovation for Lunch: It is a small group setting with CoCoon’s founders and investment team, where they enjoy a casual lunch, followed by a short presentation from one of the Pitch Night teams and also network with fellow entrepreneurs, investors, business partners and more.
