There’s not a lot I can say that you haven’t said already. Thank you for speaking out. On behalf of those of us who have had miscarriages — thank you. Your thoughts no the terms and words used resonated so much with me. I can remember with my most recent miscarriage — I hadn’t bled yet, but my doctor had told me I would. They ordered blood tests, printed the orders and handed them to me to take to the lab with me. I looked down and in the “diagnosis” box it said “spontaneous abortion.” Come on medical community! Can’t you think of a better term for a miscarriage than one that includes the word “abortion”?!?! For someone who is in the process of losing a precious, prayed for, and valued life — seeing any form of the word abortion is like a stab in our already aching uterus!
