Protecting Law Enforcement Officers.

Summary of “Preventing Violence Against Federal, State, Tribal, and Local Law Enforcement Officers.” Executive Order 13774 on February 9, 2017. Trump’s tenth Executive Order.

Short: The Attorney General (AG) will review existing laws, develop a strategy, and give the president a report on the protection and safety of all law enforcement officers.

More: The laws to be reviewed are Federal laws and powers, but this Order also addresses the safety and protection of officers who are Federal, State, tribal, or local. The AG will work with State, tribal, and local governments to achieve these goals. The AG will also review current grants and spending related to this issue.
