Have you heard of the four agreements?

The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz is one of the absolute best books I’ve ever read for leaders committed to improve their personal effectiveness.

There’s real value in simple but powerful concepts. In the case of the Four Agreements, the author, Don Miguel Ruiz, shares four personal behaviors — four individual best practices — that will not only improve your leadership effectiveness, but also your personal happiness and well-being.

1. Be impeccable with your word.

2. Don’t take anything personally.

3. Don’t make assumptions.

4. Always do your best.

It’s simple…four leadership, personal effectiveness and improvement behaviors that leaders need to take and turn into personal strengths. They are four behaviors I’m committed to, and personally working on everyday to improve myself, my Leading To Win professional effectiveness, and my interpersonal effectiveness with my partner, family and friends. It’s a journey (and one worth embarking on).

Tune in next week to hear about my personal stories for each of these agreements… from the perspective of success and failure.
