I remember calling up the radio station for the call-in on flying cars. My position of nobody advocating for the sky itself was extreme. But Earth never got to say please stop excavating all of my resources, please don’t dig so deep, please do not cut away the side of this mountain. Why would you cut away the side of a mountain? There is a wide-open hole in a mountain in Beloeuil, Québec, not far from here. The first time I saw it, I felt the gash like it happened to me. I never get used to seeing it, either. Does anyone just drive by, casually? …
