Far Cry 5
PREMISE — This open-world, first-person shooter game revolves around a junior deputy sheriff known as “Rook” or “Deputy”, as the county is rapidly swept and controlled by a heavily armed and religiously motivated doomsday cult called the Project of Eden’s Gate. The deputy must battle together with different resistance factions from the valley to liberate the citizens from the cult members dubbed by the resistance as the “Peggies”.
PLOT — Set in a fictional Hope County, in Montana, USA, a junior deputy sheriff, alongside with its colleagues and a lone US Marshall, heads to the church of Eden’s Gate to serve a warrant of arrest to Joseph Seed: the leader of the Project of Eden’s Gate. But as they were taking Seed away, his followers began fanatically tackling their helicopter as they were just taking off, prompting for their transport to crash. They were then tracked down by the Peggies to retrieve Joseph Seed, and kidnapped the sheriffs and the marshal, while the deputy managed to evade capture. Now the player must fight and regain the lands of Hope County from the occupying Peggies with the help of the different resistance groups from various parts of the county, and bring Joseph Seed back to justice.
CHARACTERS
Joseph Seed — A preacher who have risen to prominence. Seed believes that he has been chosen by God to protect the people of Hope County from “the Collapse”, a global catastrophe that will see the collapse of society, and to this end has established a congregation called the Project at Eden’s Gate.
Jacob “the Soldier” Seed — A former United States Army sniper and Joseph’s older brother who oversees the training and deployment of the cult’s armed soldiers.
John “the Baptist” Seed — Joseph’s younger brother and a lawyer who has been able to acquire much of the land in Hope County for Eden’s Gate and who leads the forcible conversion of residents.
Rachel “Faith” Jessop — A botanist who acts as a pacifist to bring the people to trust in Joseph, but uses a powerful hallucinogen called Bliss to run forced labor camps for residents who resist the cult.
Richard “Dutch” Roosevelt — a local survivalist with a deep distrust of government and a history of anti-social behavior.
Rook — a rookie sheriff’s deputy — referred to as “the Deputy” — who is part of a task force sent to arrest Seed. It is now up to him to save Hope County.
ENVIRONMENT
Far Cry 5 takes place in a fictional Hope County, in Montana, USA. The valley is divided into three parts, each controlled by Joseph Seed’s brothers and by Faith. While Joseph is located in an island compound at the center of the map.

GAMEPLAY & FLOW
Far Cry 5 is an open-world game, whereas you liberate certain locations on the map and accomplish missions from non-playable characters, and you will be awarded with items that will help you obtain equipment that will prove to be useful for the player. The player also garner experience points that they can spend on a skill tree that unlocks various benefits and skills that will make the player more capable of reaping kills and achieve their missions.
