Lean Startup Digest Issue #34: The wonderful views of Derek Sivers, a Lean airline story and thoughts for 2016
HAPPY NEW YEAR! This is a time for reflection and thinking. New years resolutions are formed (some already broken). I’ve been reviewing 2015 and at around the same time I listened to a podcast (linked below) and in it Derek Silvers says:
“Every time when people contact me they say. I know you must be really busy…busy seems to imply that you have no control of your life…of your time…”.
It struck a cord. I realised I am too busy to be able to do things effectively and give my all. Certainly this newsletter has suffered on account of having too many projects and not saying no.
So I’ve decided that 2016 is the year of “HELL YEAH or No!”.
More about that in the podcast. Hope you get 2016 off to a good start.
I urge you to listen to this podcast. Derek Sivers has a different take on life, happiness and business that is refreshing. This is a guy who built up his business CD Baby then sold it and gave all the money away to a charitable trust.
I’ve also recommended you read his book too — see below.
Lean Startup Digest remains free and takes me hours a month to research and write. If you find any joy and value in what I do, please consider sharing or recommending.
