Comparison of Preliminary Exam

There are no changes in the preliminary exam pattern in CWE PO/MT VI as compared to CWE PO/MT V. Provided below is a table for your reference about the subjects, marks and the number of questions.

Total composite time is 1 hour (60 minutes)

Comparison of Main Exam

The number of subjects, the number of questions and the marks allocated for each subject in the IBPS PO mains exam is the same, however, the time allocation for the subjects has been changed significantly

CWE PO/MT V (2015): Composite Time is 2 hours (120 minutes). This meant that, you could much more time in reasoning as compared to quantitative. For example you could solve the reasoning ability related questions in 60 minutes and the QA section in 30 minutes

CWE PO/MT VI (2016): Each section has been allocated a time period. You will not be able to exceed the allocated time for each section. Therefore, even if you have not completed all the questions, you have to go to the next section. This pattern is similar to the SBI PO pattern in the exams conducted in July and August of 2016.

The details are in the table below. Also, the total time available is 2 hours and 10 minutes (140 minutes) as against 120 minutes in CWE PO/MT V held in 2015.
