Independence Day the movie is pretty close to a perfect movie. Sure there’s some questionable plot choices, slapstick that doesn’t age well, and some overacted death scenes, but hey, not everything can be as good as Airplane!

Every year I eagerly look forward to tweets from ID4 in Real Time. It’s a timestamped retelling of the Independence Day movie through tweets, complete with the developing revelations and shocking plot twists. It’s a smart way of taking one piece of media and turning it into new experience.
