This article made me feel so uneasy. Are we supposed to celebrate Rey for being so rigidly moral? I’ve never heard of anyone, let alone a WELL WRITTEN fictional character being like this.

Yes, I had a problem with Rey’s story arc being more about Kylo Ren’s “conflict” over his own moral compass. I found that so annoying and diminishing for her . . . as much as I found Finn’s story arc diminishing. I also had a problem with this story arc, because it made her look like a complete idiot. What person in his or her right mind would attempt to “save” someone who had attempted to abuse him or her A FEW DAYS AGO? That scenario made no sense to me. When I saw that, I realized that Rian Johnson was truly more concerned with Kylo Ren than the trilogy’s two protagonists.
