A wise person once told me your actions influnce your feelings. She was proposing I pretend stuff in an attempt to be happier. For example, she was proposing i pretend to enjoy certain activities, and in turn, she claimed the theory was that the pretence would trick my mind over time to genuinely believe I was enjoying such activities more. Depending on my mood, stressors and the pretence needed this has worked to some degree in the past.
