I clicked on this because the title intrigued me… all I can say is your father gave you a precious gift. Here’s why I say this…

My father passed away from cancer when I was 19.

In the months before he passed I remember sitting with him in my parent’s bedroom and he would be talking to me. We didn’t have a close relationship and at the time I felt like a normal teenager and just wanted to leave the room. Didn’t really pay attention to anything he said and now I wish I had. It would have been nice to have been able to go back and listen to what he was trying to tell me then. There have been several times when I wish I could have tapped into his wisdom. He didn’t get to meet his grandsons, but I sure wish they could have been able to meet him. Maybe he could have helped them too.
