I can’t even tell you how much I needed to read this right now. I keep feeling like oh no I messed up so bad and nothing will ever be the same again. But that’s bullshit. Oh and I also hate hate hate when people say “it is what it is.” Talk about nonsense. I heard this saying so much in my last stint at rehab and even found myself saying it. Then I realized how stupid it sounds and immediately removed it from my brain. I believe now that it will be okay. Because you’re right. We adapt. It’s part of life. It might even turn out better this way. Things tend to do that. We think it’s the end of the world. But sometimes the stuff that terrifies us most turns out to be the best thing that could have happened. I’m looking forward to seeing where this journey takes me now. Thanks for the great article. :)
