Backing up is SO important. One backup isn’t enough. One of your backups needs to be offsite — it doesn’t help to have a copy on your hard drive and another on a flash or other external drive if you have a housefire, or a flood, or a burglary. My rule is at least one local backup and one online (Carbonite, Dropbox, OneDrives, etc.).

And even more important — check your backup now and then. I’ve seen people think they were backing up, only to find whatever method they were using wasn’t working as intended. Backing up your data is only half the solution…you have to make sure you can get your story back from the backup. One does NOT guarantee the other.
