I’m a member of a wonderful critique group called the Internet Writing Workshop (www.internetwritingworkshop.org), which bills itself as the oldest online writing workshop. It’s a great community, full of aspiring amateurs and writers both self- and traditionally published. It was the online writing group that helped Max Barry (Jennifer Government, Lexicon) and Jennifer Chiaverini (Mrs. Lincoln’s Dressmaker, the Elm Street Quilts series) get their starts. The workshop hosts critique communities for novels, short fiction, non-fiction, poetry and screenplays. Come check it out — it’s free!
