Backlinks are links that lead back to your site’s homepage or other web pages of great importance which you wish to rank in the search engine result pages for a particular keyword or phrase.
Backlinks are an important part of search engine optimization and marketing online. There are plenty of ways of creating them, but it is important to note that you need to diversify your backlinks to avoid penalties by the search engines.
RSS Feed Directories
One way of creating backlinks is by creating a RSS feed of your web pages and submitting that feed to quality RSS feed directories. You have available RSS feed software online to assist you with this part. Specific Feeds is one such resource which will allow you to submit your website’s RSS feed for immediate distribution.
Video Backlinks
Create short videos with presentation about your site, information, products and services. Include your link in the video description and submit your videos with a title which includes a keyword of relevant importance to your site. Submit to different video sites with different versions of your title for maximum exposure. Make sure you video descriptions are also diversified so that you are not creating duplicate content and thus damaging your ranking in the search engines.
Audio Sharing Sites
Create a free music sample or a podcast and submit to audio sharing site with a link back to your main site. Podcasts can be about your products, services, informative and related about your site’s main topics. Submit to as many audio sharing sites over time.
Testimonials
Give out testimonials to and on other websites regarding products and services in related but non-competitive niches to your own. Write an honest testimonial regarding services you have tried out and ask the webmaster of the other site if they can include your site link along with your name.
One method to obtain testimonials which works well is simply writing one for your client based on their feedback. Send it to them and ask if you may publish it as their own testimonial for your company on your website.
Art Designs
Create simple art work that is related to your niche in form of designs, logos, stickers, comics, t-shirts. You can put your main site link in your art profile description.
You can also create quote art or memes. Quote art is a great way to get people to share your content. People love inspirational quotes placed on beautiful background photos. And a great, witty meme can easily go viral, generating thousands of links back to your website.
Infographics
People love infographics since the graphics serve as a great visual tool to better understanding connections within a topic. Create infographics with information related to your site’s niche and submit your infographics to various graphics submission sites with your site’s link.
