Ok, now what?
So.
Blogging again. This time I actually might keep up with it. But maybe not. Yes, two lines into my new attempt at blogging and I’m already downplaying.
So many things have changed online since I originally started a music-sharing blog many years ago. I used blogspot, as I liked their simple straight-forward design and ease of use.
Then they got too fancy, too busy — too much like Google analytics. Maybe other bloggers liked that about it, but I didn’t. Yes, I’ve already arrived at my first ‘things used to be better in the old days’ of 2005. Well, they were, y’know. Are you sure you want to keep reading this?
I investigated using tumblr since that was all the rage with the kids, but their blogging template was a nightmare for my little laptop running an old version of Windows XP and Firefox 5.
Plus did I really want to be on tumblr in the first place? It wasn’t really suited to me. I’m not much into posting single images with 3 words. And I hate their non-existent search function. I hate tumblr, actually. Never liked it.
And it’s not like I had anything BURNING inside of me that had to get out, something I expected dozens of people to read.
I entertained the idea of writing my blog on my own site, but I’m useless with internet 1.1 features like ‘tags’ and maintaining the archive manually seemed like even less fun. Best to leave that to someone else.
After reading a bunch of posts by people here on Medium, I’ve finally decided to give it a try. I have no idea if I’ll say anything beyond this initial post, or post daily (though I highly doubt that).
So.
Um.
Hi.
