Why yolks are better than egg whites?
Eggs are in fact a nutritional powerhouse and most importantly the bulk of the nutritions are found in the yolk!
Hello!
This is Bryan from Becoming Stronger, I hope you enjoyed last week’s article about 🍚. This week we are talking about eggs! Eggs can be separated into two parts, the white (aka albumin) and the yellow (yolk). The yolk is where all of the cholesterol and fat is stored, whereas the majority of protein occurs in the egg white. Which is a big reason why bodybuilders love egg whites.
However if you have been eating eggs without the yolks then you are doing it wrong. Eggs are in fact a nutritional powerhouse and most importantly the bulk of the nutritions are found in the yolk!

See! The yolk that you been throwing away contains all the nutrients :)
Do you know that Vitamin D in egg yolks reduce the risk of diabetics.
You see, vitamin D isn’t a vitamin at all. It’s a steroid hormone that influences virtually every cell in your body. From your heart to your brain to your immune system, maintaining optimal vitamin D levels is incredibly important. Furthermore there are studies that shows that Vitamin D deficiency is linked to Diabetes.
Do you know Choline, a nutrient good for memory is also found in the yolk.
But what about the yolks? They might have less protein as compared to egg white but they are full of nutrients. From B6, B12, riboflavin, folate, to choline that, in fact, are believed to help prevent heart disease. L-arginine, an amino acid found in eggs, is critical to the body’s production of protein and the release of growth hormones.
Then how about the high cholesterol?. Eggs naturally contain about 185 ~ 210 mg of cholesterol, but the real threat to high cholesterol is saturated and trans fats, not dietary cholesterol. Imagine going for eggs without the yolk but having deep fried fatty foods in your diet. That is so much worst.
Do you know the best way to have an egg is to have it raw😱
The best way to consume a raw egg is to crack it open into a glass and swallow it whole. I know some of my bodybuilding friends do that but it is too much for me. I like fried eggs but instead of corn oil, I like to use olive oil on low heat to cook the eggs.
Finally, although eggs are good, we still need to consume it in moderation. My limit of eggs for each day are three 🍳🍳🍳
Till next week

And here’s a really cool way to separate egg yolk
