Congratulations on the deep text and the wonderful ideas to revolutionize the industry, but I don’t think that placing a $40–60 subscription fee would fix the issue, for me, the main issue is the way that they share this value, I don’t pay Spotify, because my money don’t go to the musicians that I listen, a fair share system should be in place, my $10 monthly fee should be divided between the bands that I listen, not the bands with more listeners. If you want to charge $40 on a subscription, ok, but I would be pissed off if my moneys goes to a band that I don’t even know the name.
