20 Best Rainmeter Skin Suites of August 2020
Rainmeter is one of the finest Desktop Customization tool among others, which still holds the popularity among super users. It offers myriad of skins to customize your desktop in the way you envision as far as possible is your creative mind. I have been using this tool from 2013, since the day I bought my own laptop and start digging to make the boring desktop layout of Windows 7 to eye candy and from that point forward the story began.
So, let’s admire the 20 best skin’s of August 2020 which I found from Reddit and Deviantart. I am categorizing these into Minimal, Full Desktop, and Retrowave for the obvious reasons. Although many of them could be an assortment of skins or a whole suite.
The Best Minimal Rainmeter Skins Suites for August 2020
It’s hard to distinguish which theme falls under minimal and which falls under Full Desktop Rainmeter Suites. So, I am considering themes with 4 or fewer widgets as a minimalist and more than will be whole desktop themes.

Coastal Backpacker Suite
This suite utilizes the animated “Coastal Backpacker” from Steam’s Wallpaper Engine. Regardless of whether you have or don’t have Rainmeter and Wallpaper Engine, you can download the ‘still’ wallpaper from Steam in FHD (link).

Lo-Fi Anime Skin
This is one fine Rainmeter theme with a transparent taskbar, quote widget, music player, and visualizer. My personal suggestion is to omit the visualizer, which would make it look better. Also, it’s a nice minimalist desktop which makes you play lo-fi hip hop beats in the background.

Neon Groot Minimalist Rainmeter Skin
You only need two rainmeter skins and a desktop wallpaper to make a big deal out of something as this setup. Pleasant blend of blue and purple shades and the contrasting black background make it eye soothing. This post has around 600 upvotes on Reddit.

Pared down to essentials
This setup requires you to download a third party plugin, Chameleon. Through which you can make a simple clock layout. The only other skin used in this setup is Rainmeter music visualizer which link is provided. Wallpaper link from Unsplash is also given in the thread. It requires a little of child play for you to make clock widget, and arranging widgets by your own. You can use Tago Fence on the left side of desktop for you navigation.

I found this one on HipHopium deviantart profile, links for the skins are not available yet. You can accept this post as an inspiration. Also, the women’s image is edited to monotone using photoshop or similar image editor. I found the original Image on Freepik.

Firewatch lover? You may have found thousands of Firewatch inspired layout on deviantart or reddit and this one is no different. However, from the minimal point of view this looks wonderful.

Wallpaper, visualization, everything is transcending the limits of a Desktop. 5 skins are used in this desktop (excuse me for an exception) with a cool wallpaper. It looks quite minimal.
Visualization creates the cool impact along with the beats of song. You can try this skin with animated wallpaper from Wallpaper Engine as well.

Best Full Desktop Rainmeter Suites for August 2020
My Current Desktop 11 by HipHopium
Oh my! This titillating Rainmeter dekstop comes with impeccable color combinations. All skins element are the part of Urban suite by HipHopium. The wallpaper is a perfect example of image editing. A woman doing Yoga and the smoke emerging behind her, is just awesome. Contrasting color of white and red makes a divergence to other cyberpunk and neon based themes and gives a fresh and urban look to your desktop.

Something a Cyberpunk 2077 fans can adore here, Simplicity. This Rainmeter theme keeps your desktop simple but also qualify as the full screen theme. The blue color of skins fabricates the culture of the cyber world and the wallpaper is from game itself.

I don’t know how this theme stays unnoticed from the audience. Available on Deviantart with the links of all the resources used in the creation.
It’s an entire suite which use Rocketdock skin, Windows 10 theme, and Rainmeter Skins, with Spirit Blossom wallpaper. It’s a pipe dream for LOL (League of Legends) fans who are looking for personalization which goes beyond a wallpaper.

Just look at this and tell me how interesting is this theme. Sugar skull and a Rainmeter clock with parallel prints, minimal dock station, weather, and system monitor. Everything this theme has looks quite minimal. Minimize your desktop, disable transparency, choose dark pink as an accent color, and enable taskbar accent. You will transform your desktop into sweet flavor of festival in just few clicks.

All Aboard the Purple Train
No doubt this reddit user, u/ Rangumi used their creative side of brain while placing all these elements on their desktop specially the clock. This has minimal properties but still good to say it covers maximum part of your desktop. A tiny dock on the bottom with hidden taskbar and a huge Rainmeter clock on the top, looks elegant.

Retrowave Rainmeter Themes for your Desktop
Minimalistic Black and White suite
This wallpaper is a charm in itself. Gives you an eerie felling of something is wrong here. The Rainmeter anime skin is quite minimalist with Google Search bar, docks on the right side and win10 process monitor widgets on the left side.
This suite left ample of space to add your favorite skin on either side. A clock or a visualizer would be a great option.

Clean Retro Desktop
If this does not give your retro-waves, then what does? A clean cassette which you can roll down with groovy 90s music and a bonus Rainmeter audio visualizer. You can see the elegant use of Retrowave pallet on this theme. What we have here, a day date skin, Rainmeter weather, and some abstracts colored lines scattered around it. Overall three skins are used in this desktop suite. I suggest you to keep you taskbar and placing fences on the right bottom.
