While I agree on one level, this begs the question: what do people do if they have a persistent, accidental, and sometimes debilitating shortage? For example, someone with mental illness like depression or anxiety will struggle to begin a relationship from an emotional place of being complete. Are folks with mental illness and mental health issues, or those suffering from PTSD or other trauma, unable to have healthy relationships? I certainly hope not since that is one factor in my life that actively counteracts my mental health issues.
