Part 2 of the Starting Over — The Season of Confusion
Hello My friends
Words fail to even begin to talk about the feedback about the impact of this blog series — When the Lord said to me ‘it was time to share on Starting Over in the 6 points that I have’ I absolutely did not anticipate this level of feedback.
The DMs, calls, messages, and comments — at some point I really cried because I am like Dear Jesus, you are using me to communicate to so many people and touch them… Why me
I have some feedback that I received that I would love to share with you but one of them is a voice note so I will have to upload it on YouTube and then come back with it soon.
Oh wait — Did I tell you that Part 1 got so much attention that it landed a radio interview?
You can watch it on my personal Instagram, but it will soon be on YouTube and podcast platforms. Such an impact conversion!
Thank you once again. If you are here and didn’t read Part 1 — please do before continuing — it’s a journey you need to follow from part 1.
Let me remind you of the points again.
The Loneliness
The confusion
The self-condemnation
The Separation from OLD
The Accountability
The NEW Journey
This week — we deal with ‘THE CONFUSION’
As people in what we find our identity in or the pattern that we live, we never anticipate our lives being shaken out of nowhere. Where the reality of our lives is turned upside down.
For the most of it — we rationalise it and believe that things will either cool off or go back to normal but as I said in part 1 speaking on Loneliness. When the time has come, it has come.
‘It is the idea of being Set Apart — that crushes people’s well-built personas. The unplanned void that creeps in and the storm that indicates that it is time. Time for What? you ask — Time to Walk Away and leave everything behind — this leaves you mostly asking why would God put you in that environment if you will one day; stand up and leave’ — extract from part 1
When the time comes, there is absolutely nothing you can do to stop it, friends. It’s like when it’s time for labor — it’s time to push and not withhold.
Let me bring you into my journey a little — It was 2021 April 24 on my birthday — I had been so preoccupied in my mind and spirit in that few months that I never had the time to just sit, breathe and listen to God’s voice but on this day, I did just that.
In my room — I closed my eyes and breathed heavily and I just listened to him as some worship music played softly in the background.
He said ‘Son, it’s time to leave and walk away’ and he said ‘walk away like x3’ I acted like I don’t know what he is talking but deep down, I did.
And here is another point: YOU ALWAYS KNOW
I was disturbed and confused as Dear God; do you know what that meant… My life is about to be upside down. Stats have shown that lol.
Fun fact: It was my birthday and here was God instead of showering me with love, he was showering me with life-changing truths.
But friends, that was LOVE manifested as Love sets free, Love is guiding.
‘You shall know the truth and it shall set you free’ — Jesus
But I said ‘ No, to that word from God’ literally. I told him everything will be well.
What does a Good Father do? He said Okay hehe. He understands Free will
Please I did not reject the word because I intended to disobey God but I was running away from the topic of today… The season of Confusion.
Running away from uncertainty and that’s also totally okay but until when will you do that?
Read more on my blog on ‘Waited on Him — How did that go exactly?
The season of Confusion is so important my friends and you may ask why… What’s cool about Being in confusion? Well, nothing is really cool about Starting Over lol…. Let’s be real.
So part of Starting Over — the confusion is for the following purpose.
- It’s the Grace period of actually going back to what you think is normal and you can carry on with the illusion that you will be accepted back.
- It’s the season of acceptance — You actually need to accept things have changed and fallen.
- It’s also that season of grieving that the season has ended and you are willingly letting go f everything.
- It is also the season to take the public L — if it means being the joke or the embarrassment — are you willing to be the joke?
I list these points, friends cause one, I know what I’m talking about and have experienced it but mostly because I want you to know something very important… In this season, God is not doing a new thing or pouring blessings as the word of the streets from some folks would say. ‘More favor or Double Portion of Grace’ no friends.
In the season of Confusion — God is not adding but He is breaking you, he is shedding you, and he is stripping you off from webs of the past that have their hands on you. He is removing the old identity but he is also mostly, watching you do it yourself too.
He mostly really wants you to freely LET GO and surrender to HIM by yourself because most of the work ahead — He will need a Total surrender from you.
Read my blog on that:
In essence, He removed you from a place only to point u to a place where there doesn’t seem to be any next steps.
Imagine, being stripped of your clothes and being told that go stand in the street until further notice.
There is a song I heard a few days ago shared by Mahle Majola who we interviewed on ‘GODLOVEDME’ in 2021 — who left a Church Cult and had to start over
Here is the link to the interview:
Anyway — the song name is Thath’Indawo by Spirit of Praise ft Mpumi Mtsweni
Listen to this song friends — it’s in a native South African Language but it basically says ‘Take your Place in our lives, Jesus, we fail without you and you are the Pillar of our lives, You are our Help!
When I heard it — reminded me so much of that very season of my life — that season of Confusion — Jesus, Take the Wheel. Thath’Indawo 😭
And Did he?
Part 2 of our WILDNERNESS chat: Last time, I stopped at how between the Children of Israel and God that God was the consistent one and they were inconsistent.
Let’s chat about it cause they found themselves in that season of Confusion for 40 years.
- They were aware of the word to leave Eygpt and enroute to the Promise Land with Moses
- God manifested his love with his consistency.
- It’s not like they were exactly happy in Eygpt.
- God’s goodness in the journey was a good thing to hold on to.
In spite of all this — what they refused to do was exactly the points I shared earlier
- It’s the Grace period of actually going back to what you think is normal and you can carry on with the illusion that you will be accepted back.
- It’s the season of acceptance — You actually need to accept things have changed and fallen.
- It’s also that season of grieving that the season has ended and you are willingly letting go of everything.
- It is also the season to take the public L — if it makes be the joke or the embarrassment — are you willing to be the joke?
Remember these.
Mostly letting Go was the challenge.
This week's songs that I listened to in that season was
- You Will Never Leave Me by Benjamin Dube ft Khaya Mthethwa
- Your Presence Heals Me by Faith Worship Arts
- Make you feel my Love by Adele
- Jireh by Mavericks city
- Way Maker By Sinach
It’s another wrap friends for part 2 of the Blog Series on Starting Over. I hope Part 2 blesses you too and I look forward to hearing your feedback.
I definitely want to hear your thoughts and what you have to say and perhaps add on — we are a community and I believe that God can speak to all of us and there is no personality needed or middle man needed to share His thoughts.
