As a third worlder and from a family of teachers who had to be very careful with their voices (and a teacher myself), I cannot give anything but support.

Health concerns are not “First World Problems”, are basic human rights and every person, from any country or any career have the right to protect it.

If programmers are not strong enough to bargain, that means that they have to wake up and start fighting for their rights. Expecting everyone else to be worse off is nonsense.
