How Not to Be a Leader
umair haque

A current leader who history will look kindly upon would be Barack Obama, who seems to balance the horrible compromises of empire that he makes with profound examples of leadership over education (free junior college), immigration (DREAM), affordable health care and net neutrality, among many issues. Racial equality, marriage equality. Success in these practical initiatives is uneven, but the intent is clear, the message is fair and the actions are progressive.

You might choose to shout Obama down, but your voice would be drowned out by those grateful voices who otherwise would be shunted aside, voices of those adding to the future prosperity of the country he leads.
