Major media brands embrace virtual reality as a new journalism platform

I hate to sound cynical, but the “major media brands” should focus on credibility first. Honing or adopting the old methods of journalism.. like getting all sides of a story, checking sources and source credibility, having an editor making certain the job was done and done correctly. Seems that a mere rumor is enough to put it to print. The industry took a major nosedive when print journalism started to die off and also when R. Murdoch bought everything up for his tabloid-centric empire.
As for virtual reality? Sure. A nice gimmick. Something on par with when video clips were added to web pages in the early 90's.
