Yeah. I have to challenge you on this thinking. Don’t get me wrong. Using a library is a great idea to get away from everyone and everything (we all struggle with getting some headspace right?)
But there’s a bit of a reality check needing to be made in my view.
This approach only works if you hide behind your computer, don’t have face to face meetings to run and attend in your ‘office’ and are never on the phone (I’m on the phone to clients and prospects all day long).
My business would crumble in a day if we worked in a library instead of a co-working space. And having to stay quiet ? I know you don’t know me from a bar of soap, but staying quiet isn’t my nature and I would constantly be told off and ‘shushed’.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the challenge of doing things differently and not being sheep — fuck yes. But I also think it’s a really narrow, naive viewpoint to think that running a business out of a library would work for most growing businesses.
