History Repeats Itself

The same stories play out, fiction or otherwise.

We like to trick ourselves into thinking we’re the the most innovative generation. That we’re doing things that no one else has ever dreamed of decades ago. That the stories and thoughts we’re sharing online and off have never been invented.

But we’re all just repeating history. Our DNA changes a million times slower than our technology and though our platforms, characters and settings appear to constantly be in flux, the formulas that drive our core experience are quite repetitive.

Whether it’s mistakes or inventions, each generation easily forgets what came before it.
