A Guided Tour of IBM Bluemix Fintech Services
Cloud computing is rapidly evolving and new services are added every day. IBM Bluemix has recently added two sets of fintech services that deserve mention, especially since there are some interesting twists to the services.
The first set of fintech services can be found in the Finance section of the Bluemix Catalog:

But there are also IBM Fintech services, which are available in the easy-to-miss experimental section of the Bluemix Catalog: https://console.bluemix.net/catalog/labs/

This is where it becomes interesting, because these fintech services are all part of the IBM Cloud for Financial Services, which is still in Beta.

The IBM Cloud for Financial Services comes with demos and starter kits, such as the Predictive Market Stress Test.

The source code for this stress test is out on GitHub, and can be deployed on Bluemix easily.
The Investment Insights with Watson demo is also worth a deep dive.

The Personal Wealth Portfolio Mgt Bot is also out on GitHub, and you can find a step-by-step guide in our Developer Journey: Create a service-based chatbot to manage a personal wealth portfolio.

This service can be easily modified and expanded, especially in the Watson Dialog service that forms the cornerstone of the Natural Language Understanding part of the chatbot.
When these services are deployed in concert, they create a set of Lego-style building blocks for building fintech apps.
