Types of headlight chips
There are different types of headlight chips, each of these chips has its own characteristics and structure. That is why they are more suitable options for a certain range of cars.
SMD chip
SMD chips can be considered the most common type of LED lights produced in the world. In these chips, each diode is installed independently on a ceramic base or the same board. Each of these diodes also has its own dedicated and separate circuit. That is why the color of each of them can be different from the other. Of course, we must mention that the separateness of these diodes has made it possible to install 2 to 6 diodes on each board.
The price of smd lamps is higher than others. But on the other hand, they have more brightness and larger dimensions. On the other hand, their optical structure does not match the automotive standards. However, due to its special structure, it can still be a more suitable option than old lamps.
cob chip
COB chips can be considered as another category of chips. Like the previous model, these headlights are actually a subset of LED lights. It is for this reason that diodes have been used to make them. With the difference that in these lights, many diodes are placed together on one board. For all these diodes, there are finally one or two circuits.
That is why all of them have only one color. However, the same circuit has made this chip more compact and more than 9 diodes can be placed on each of their boards. This factor has caused its price to be more suitable than the previous model. On the other hand, the high number of diodes makes it produce more light, but its light focus is moderate.
csp chip
These chips are also largely similar to the previous model. In fact, their structure consists of a number of diodes on a single board, the number of circuits of which is small. With the difference that these models are not used to connect the diode with a wire, and an integrated structure and direct connection are used. This factor has increased the resistance of this category of products against heat and reduced energy wastage in them.
In addition, this issue has brought a smaller size for these products. CSP lamps have a better focus than the previous models and that is why their output light is according to international standards. But we must mention that the price of this category of models is slightly higher than COB models. This is the reason why it is generally used in high model cars.
