Jessica Jones battered woman

Over the weekend I caught a few episodes on Netflix of “Jessica Jones.”Growing up I didn’t read comic books, so I didn’t know the Jessica Jones story. I was very disappointed to learn, through layers of obvious metaphors, Jessica Jone’s story. Her story is that of a battered woman.

The message appears to be that force and not reason is what will afford a woman equal treatment. Though, there is hope — perhaps the role of force is to end all threats and perhaps humanity will eliminate the possibility of future threats.

Jessica Jones:

The woman with too many painful memories —and the woman who cops by either drinking, having violent sex or by isolating herself.

The woman that wins her battles through physical force.

The woman that becomes a means for others to reach an end of their own.

A “servant” or rather a “gift” to all of those that need help. Help in the form of physical force.

A win for all women!!
