Like I mentioned last week in my previous blog post, I got back from the U.S early last month. Aside from the dust, I love being in Bahrain. However, you don’t simply live in a place for 9 months, and just walk in a completely new place, and carry on as usual. Settling in is taking a bit longer than I’d like. The time frame that I like is a generous 3 and a half seconds.

Currently I have no paints, a studio space, can’t unpack my books, and still in the process of reinventing my website (but I write kick ass monthly letters), plus many more processes in the background, moving out, and other things. Therefore, at the risk of sounding petty, here’s an image that describes how I feel.

It’s frustrating when you don’t have any painting supplies for a month

ultimately my relationship with God somehow boils down to this:

and that’s why I’m not a contributing author in the Bible

and the eerie happy moment when this gets answered faster than expected, and a friend hands you her oil paints before she moves out of Bahrain. (you know who you are, thank you so much).

Meanwhile, I have my sketchbook. I’ve been posting tons of pages of it on my Instagram (if you’re not following my Instagram, click here and hit follow. Here are is a selection of pages from my Moleskin Sketchbook.
