The only reason email marketing is dying for many businesses is they have no idea on how to use email correctly. Most businesses send out ‘newsletters’ which for them doesn’t work, however once you engage in real email communication instead of a simple newsletter philosophy you will see the results. An Executive Coach and client of mine recently sent out an email campaign to his LinkedIn database and he received 2 leads and no sales. We had a meeting regarding this and after advising him how to correct this and use email properly, he sent out another email and received 160 leads from the same database, closed 40% of the leads and made 300k in one email campaign. Email marketing is not dying, it’s simple the user who has no idea how to use email marketing effectively that gives email this reputation.
