I did the same thing last year (took up the Inktober art challenge on Instagram) but only for a couple months (should’ve kept going) and found by drawing something daily I did get much better at it and really enjoyed it. I found I did better by drawing “prompts” and I may start up again next month.

We are very similar in that I also became a grandma at age 50 and have loved every minute of it!
I am now 75 but still very close to all 4 grandkids. We treasure the memories we had and are still having together.

It reminds me of Matthew 13:57–58 when Jesus was preaching and teaching in His own town and the people doubted and questioned Him, and He wasn’t able to do much because their unbelief limited Him. Apparently they knew Who He was, but didn’t know Him well enough to trust Him, so they exhibited unbelief.
