Hi, sorry for the late reply. Yes, there are two separate zones wired to the boiler.
For this, I have the Tado extension kit and two thermostats so that I can control each zone separately.
I found that I then needed to add Tado valves to every radiator on the main zone to be able to heat each room…
Hi, sorry for the late reply. I’m using a HomeBridge plugin called http alarm to trigger some endpoints which in turn communicate with my alarm over SMS. I’m running a small node script on the same raspberry pi as HomeBridge and this is used to set and get the status of the alarm.
This allows me to use my goodnight scene to turn off all lights and arm the alarm.
Hi, in total I’ve had the kit for almost 3 years (in a previous house too). I’ve had the radiator valves for about a year. In that time the main Tado has been faultless. I’ve had one radiator valve fail on me (out of 7) and they replaced that without issue.
In order for this to work, I setup the automation using the Eve app. The doorbell trigger only shows up there and not in the Home app.
To flash the lights was a bit trickier. I used another HomeBridge plugin called delay switch. When motion was detected it turned on a scene that turned Hue lights red and also started a timer…
