1. Do not send countless messages and emails.

Social media is a great way to keep in touch with one another when we are unable to do it face-to face.

Yet, people are busy living their lives. Most are simply unavailable to respond to you right away. By sending countless emails and messages you are not only causing clutter from them to look through in order to reorganize themselves, you have become a nuisance to that person. In simpler terms, you are being annoying!

All you can do is give people time to respond to you. Be sure to give warm regards so the person does not hesitate to reply to you once they receive your message.

2. Online Abuse

No matter what platform of social media you use you would want be treated with respect. Am I right? You want the ability to log on to any social media website and feel respected and welcome and not be subjected to online abuse or cyberbully.

Therefore, it is imperative that you do not send or post any malicious messages that would marginalize or offend others. There has been so many instances where people have been treated unfairly or disrespect on social media. They are often times being disrespected for such things as their ethnicity, sexual orientation, social economic status etc. As a result of people’s cruelty on social media, some people has resorted to having suicidal thoughts and a handful has acted upon it and ended their lives.

Social media was created for people to express themselves on the internet. There really isn't a lot of etiquette to be considered when using social media as long as you respect people views and opinions on the web.

Refrain from posting any derogatory messages, and you respect the fact that everyone has the right to use any platform of social media without the need to feel unwelcome by others comments. As long as that is respected, social media is yours to explore and customize to best represent you as an individual.
