For all those new here, hey — I’m Leon :). Got a 10k charity race coming up and wanted to bring you along with my training. Plans will be available for you to follow along if you‘d like.

Race date: 23rd October 2022

Had a really great week, more ups than downs! My average pace for an 8k run was 5’24 — distance is improving week by week. Also started working on leg endurance…

Tuesday — Outdoor Run | Endurance

Thursday — Outdoor Walk | Endurance

Saturday — Legs | Strength

Sunday — Bootcamp | Endurance

Tuesday Run:

Felt really strong! Average pace was good in my opinion 5’24” for 8k. The distance increased from last week. Think I’m going to stick to this for another week then increase again. Look below at the log — get in!

Thursday Walk:

Was peaceful — great way to clear my head. These walks are more for recovery/mental reflection. Nothing to report here…

Saturday Legs Workout:

Goodness me this was great! Still feeling the delayed on muscle soreness (doms). The rep ranges were 14+ which put me in the endurance range with little rest in between (30s). Took just over an hour to complete (I did the bonus round):

If you’d like to follow the same plan, here it is!

Change your targets to whatever’s best for you. Save the plan > 3 dots > Change Targets

Sunday Bootcamp:

Wow this was hard. A day after the leg workout was killer! Because this is a full body routine, Its not as strenuous on my legs. Feel stronger and it shows in some of my results:

Follow along and save the plan!

Overall a tough week — but improvements are happening!
