Ok my story. I am turning 38 in June. When I was 28 I had my first open heart surgery. Lucky me huh. Well i opted for the tissue valve, thid gave md the opportunity to have more children. Well that being said, I had my second open heart surgery 4 years later. Yup tissue one failed. Told you I’m lucky. Now i have a metal valve, basically I tick. One year after that surgery I had a stroke, told you lucky. Ond year after that I had another stroke. To this day I battle keeping my body from getting a blood clot again. I think wigh all that I have been through it has made me a better person. I am more compassionate and understanding to my patients. I am proud to say that I am a stroke survivor.
