What do I know?

So little, so much less than when I was younger, and held strong opinions supported with facts, based on data gathered empirically, analyzed using the correct methods, conclusions drawn, oh, so carefully.

But now I know less, or maybe nothing at all.

Empiricism and rationalism give way, like all isms,to a molecular existence of plants and soil, water and sun. Breathing and laughing, alternating tension and ease, feelings of movement and stillness and the simple joy in connection. Life in a human body.

I no longer know, but now I know that I cannot know.

No longer grasping for some truth to hold firmly, to tether me through the abyss of unknowing, now I float freely, laughing.

Psychologist, bioenergetic psychotherapist, omnivorous reader, cook, runner, flutist, CanAm person. Gram, Mom and Evil Stepmom, depending.
