I recently spent a day on jury duty here in San Francisco and felt the same way. So much waiting, such a diverse cross-section of the city. It was inefficient and dull, and I was so relieved to get dismissed after mentioning a few reasons why I couldn’t be objective about this particular matter. That said, I am glad we have a system that uses evidence and procedures rather than calls like “lock her up!”
