Elgin’s hometown hero and dope emcee Nehemiah Heckler is blessing the airwaves with his song, “Blessings.” For those who don’t know, Elgin is located in Illinois and Mr. Heckler is poised for takeoff!

Nehemiah has a way of really touching your soul with his music. I cried the first time I heard “Blessings” because it is such a heartfelt song where he raps, “and I know your going through a hard time, everything’s going to be all right, I know it’s hard to get through life, but it’ll get better.” Sunny days are here with Mr. Heckler on the rise so fasten your seatbelts and enjoy the ride because he’s the best thing out of Illinois — Elgin to be exact.

Speaking of the best thing, Nehemiah’s “Best Thing” (featuring Paradise) is another song that will touch you as he sings, “Ooooh, found the best thing, don’t worry about the next thing, life is a movie we’re directing, takes a little time to perfect things.” Nothing is perfect but one thing is certain, Nehemiah knows a good thing when he sees it, and he has the perfect remedy for making inspirational love songs.

It’s no surprise that musician Paradise makes a cameo appearance on “Best Thing” as he rapidly raps, “Tired of the games, hang that jersey up in the rafters, honesty open communication is what you’re after, trust me, I get it.” Every player has to turn in his player card. This song just makes me feel on top of the world and when you’re in love, it’s the best thing.
