Apple killed more applications during WWDC 2019

Firstly, it was mindblowing keynote with a huge amount of amazing features. Among, them there were few which touch me personally since I was and for now still am a user of some needed features.

Sidecar

Sidecar lets you extend your workspace by using your iPad as a second Mac display. Work in one app while you reference another or view your artwork on your Mac while you use tools and palettes on your iPad. You can also mirror the screens so they both display the same content, making it perfect for sharing exactly what you see with others.

Duet Display is a brilliant application, which has helped me many times during travel or when I was working from home. I believe I bought the first version of it like 2015, or around that date, it is very good, but now ecosystem has consumed it.

RIP: Duet Display.

Screen Time

macOS Catalina brings all your favorite Screen Time features to Mac, giving you greater insight into how you’re spending your time. Monitor usage, schedule downtime, and set limits for both apps and websites across all your devices. And with Family Sharing, you can set app and communication limits for your kids to help them focus on the right things.

I was a user of RescueTime I believe for 2–3 years. However, I also use iPhone & iPad. Taking into account that now Mac is also unrolled into Screen Time, the choice is quite obvious for me.

RIP: RescueTime.

Activity Trends (Apple Watch)

The latest trend in fitness. Yours. Your Activity rings are a great snapshot of your Move, Exercise, and Stand metrics throughout the day. But your watch captures so much more, from walking pace to flights climbed to VO2 max. The new Trends feature shows whether any metric is headed up or down over time, so you can keep it going or turn it around.

A more personalized Health app (iOS)

It’s easier than ever to access the information that matters most to you. And now there’s cycle tracking to help you gain insight into your menstrual cycle and provide a clearer picture of your overall health.

This feature for Apple Watch and iOS is directly competing with SolidBalance (application on which I was working for the last few months), and I wrote more details about them here.

P.S. We would be happy to see comments according to mistakes & typos.
