Morris Chestnut has been widely known as a strikingly handsome, smooth man with the power to stop women in time when he walks in a room.

He’s one of the great actors of our generation. He can do it all; drama, comedy, sci-fi, romance, and horror-not all actors can be the best! Throughout his career, Morris Chestnut has been widely known as a strikingly handsome, smooth man with the power to stop women in time when he walks in a room. Just kidding. 😂 Here are my top five favorite films from Morris Chestnut in very particular order:

The Cave is a sci-fi thriller about a tight-knit cave-diving team that runs into some serious trouble on a delving mission beneath the earth’s surface. Morris Chestnut plays Top Buchanan, a survival expert heading the deep excursion.

We get to see Morris Chestnut in a rare role, and a film with monstrous creatures.

Cole Hauser also stars on The Cave. Here are our Editor’s Picks for his Top Five In Film

I watched Two Can Play That Game religiously in High School.

Morris Chestnut and Vivica A. Fox play couple Shanté Smith and Keith Fenton.

Shanté and Keith are a combative power couple playing a tug-of-war game of dating and roulette relationships that leads to jealously and angst between them. Keeping in mind of course, that Two Can Play That Game was released in the early 2000s before the wild-wild west of dating via social media.

Ricky Baker’s storyline is tough.

Morris Chestnut’s performance as the college bound football star in 1991 is his most iconic and memorable role.

Late Director John Singleton filmed Boyz n the Hood, cementing Morris Chestnut’s place in Hollywood history as one of it’s leading Black men.

The years 1999 and early 2000s were an outstanding time for Black actors in film. The Brothers is one of the movies that helped make that happen. It’s a story about four men, their friendships, and how they maneuver relationships with women. Picking up just as one of The Brothers has proposed to his new soon-to-be-wife, Morris Chestnut plays brother Jackson Smith, a fine physician with commitment issues who suffers terribly from night terrors and sweats at the thought of his own wedding day.

Make way for Lance Sullivan!! Since it’s release in 1999, Morris Chestnut has really made the iconic The Best Man football star his own. Due to the film’s popularity ’99, in 2022 The Best Man: The Final Chapters was created. We could definitely see Morris Chestnut as Lance Sullivan in a spin-off series one day soon.

What’s your favorite Morris Chestnut movie?
