Kyra: India’s Youngest YouTuber and VR Vlogger
From a very young age, Kyra’s family began making home videos of her for her birthdays. As she grew older she became increasingly camera savvy, which exhibited itself during a family trip to Thailand where she did an impromptu travel vlog. It became very popular with her friends and family. She loved the praise she got and that set her off getting new ideas to review places and toys, a lot of times from watching product unboxing videos over her dad’s shoulder. Kyra loves exploring new things and being able to share her happiness at her discoveries through videos.
The idea to start a YouTube channel came from close friends, family and more importantly, many parents of Kyra’s classmates who felt her reviews gave useful information, gifting and holiday ideas that could benefit many a confused mom and dad. Since Kyra was already making videos with some regularity, loading them on YouTube and streaming them on a channel felt like the natural next step.
VR, being the latest flavor of the gadgetry season, soon appeared on Kyra’s radar. Influenced by her parents, uncles and aunts who follow the latest technology very closely, Kyra got her hands on a VR unit and did what she does best with her natural curiosity.
Very importantly, Kyra has complete creative control over what videos her family and her make. Her parents would make suggestions if she is stuck or if there is a special request from someone but she has the final say on what to do. As her fans, we might expect another 360 video recording her upcoming trip to Disneyland Hong Kong. As 360 videos engages their viewers on a new level, unboxing videos that involve assembly instructions might see better results because of Kyra’s new adoption of 360. Hopefully we will see more of her wonderful VR experiments in the future with toys review videos. We’re holding our breath!
