I loved you like a fool

We had perfect days, didn’t we?

I was a writer and you were my muse…

I was a painter and your touch was guiding my imagination…

I was an event planner and you were my partner in crime…

I was a chef and you were my su-chef..

I was a dancer and you were my partner…

I was a food critic and you were my assistant…

I was a stripper and you were my victim….

I was an interior decorator and you were my client…

I was a nature explorer and you were my guide…

I was an athlete and you were my trainer….

I was a trainer and you were my swimming understudy….

I was sad and you were my therapist…

I was fierce in my love. I would have fought armies and kings by your side and helped you build empires and dreams out of nothingness. I would have kissed you like I never kissed anyone and if you were mine I would have finally fully submitted to my whole desire, broke every wall and became yours. I never wanted to conquer you, or for you to conquer me, I wanted us to conquer the world together.

But you… you dreamt of different kinds of conquests.

And now I’m free — to live differently, to love myself, to conquer my fears.
