Thank you, Brian. I think publicizing these emails is testament to the value of following your vision. As Thiel suggests, the innovative/crazy ideas are often overlooked for the comfort of familiar business models which have data sets to examine because they seem like “safe” investments. This is not a fault of VC’s in general, but proof that to really be “disruptive” one has to have an imagination and have the courage to stretch the limits of what people perceive as possible.
