The Leviar team is happy to announce to the Leviar community that we have finished the work on the paper wallet and it has been released today, august 10th 2018, as planned on our roadmap.
You can create your paper wallet on paperwallet.leviar.com
For those who don’t know what a paper wallet is, a paper wallet is an offline mechanism for storing cryptocurrencies. The concept behind it involves “printing” and storing cryptocurrency in an offline mode. A paper wallet is considered an extremely secure way to keep cryptocurrency safe from cyber-attacks, malware, etc. If properly constructed, and provided that certain precautions are taken, it will be nearly impossible for a hostile user to access your crypto holdings. But it’s important to remember that it’s not the cryptocurrency that is being printed out like regular currency. It’s the information stored in a cryptocurrency wallet or digital wallet that gets printed out. The data appearing on the wallet includes the public key (wallet address), which allows people to transfer money into that wallet, and the private key, which gives access to fund spending. …
today we released the new documentation portal, which will be updated regularly with docs, informations and FAQs.
On 10th August 2018 we will release the web application which will make very easy for everyone to create a Paper Wallet for Leviar.
In the last two months, our developers have been working hard on the switch to the code base of Monero. Now, we are happy to announce that the new code will be released on June 9th on our Github account. We’ll be releasing the new version of the client (v3.0.0) / wallets (v0.5.0). With this release we will finish the switch from codebase of Bytecoin to the Monero one.
But the actual fork date will be on the block height 490000, which is estimated to take place on June 30th. Some members of our community may find that frustrating or may see it as a delay. That’s why we want to explain to our dear community that we decided to do the fork on June 30th so we would have enough time to contact the exchanges, which usually takes lot of time (it can take weeks to receive and answer from cryptopia) and to contact all the pools we know of to make sure they all upgrade and they have everything ready for the fork. …

The adapting phase wasn’t the fastest, but the wait will pay off.
The new version will have all the functionality currently in Monero, included an enhancement to the PoW algorithm that will allow to continue preserving ASIC resistance.
PoW tweak to curb any potential threat of ASICs and preserve ASIC resistance
Thanks to this new version, in the next few months we’ll be able to release both paper wallet and mobile wallet. …
