For Halloween

On this hallowed day, when the wall between the worlds is at its thinnest and we can hear the plaint of departed spirits whose vital opportunity is spent — their privilege of being a cause of effect in this world expired, let us hearken and be reminded of our own limited lease in this space and time, and of our ephemeral tenure in material agency. Let us enjoy the privilege of our capacity to act in the present with intension to influence the trajectory of events, creating the world we would want to haunt as spirits. Our choice to act here and now is our trick and our treat. Let’s costume and be merry.
