How about if congress becomes a completely virtual meeting.
Having everyone in one place makes it easy for lobbyists to get access, and hard for constituents. (It’s not great for national security either.)
If everyone had to conduct business from the district they represent, it would be harder and more expensive for lobbyists and power brokers to get access, and our elected officials would have to deal with a similar day-to-day grind as the rest of us.
Washington is a bubble and those who live and work there are totally out of touch with what is going on in the rest of the country — including the press corps.
